

About our Course
The Barre Time course can be done in person (dates TBC) or online. It is open for anyone with a dance/fitness background and will teach you everything you need to be able to teach a fun-filled and effective Barre Time class!
Our course covers the following main aspects, among others:

Pilates, ballet and cardio principles and techniques

Class structure and flow
-
How to cue movements and create combos
-
Class levels
-
Social media and marketing
-
Adding small equipment
-
A full classic class outline
BECOME AN INSTRUCTOR
Our course is available in person (Course dates for 2025 TBC - Pretoria October 2025) and Online and is aimed at anyone with a movement background!
How to qualify as a Barre Time instructor:

Attend a minimum of 70% of the in person course hours or complete all steps in the online course workbook

20 teaching hours
-
20 practical class hours
-
10 observation hours
-
Complete online theory exam
-
Complete 1 hr practical teaching exam (record a 1hr video of you teaching a BT class and send to us via WeTransfer or Dropbox)
-
Exams to be completed within 6 months from course date (R500 fee for exams completed after 6 months)
Your exam fees and manuals are included in your course fees. All attendees receive a lifetime access to our Facebook instructor support page and our exclusive Instructors area on our website with additional learning tools.
A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION WILL BE AWARDED UPON COMPLETING BOTH EXAMS AND YOU WILL THEN BE A CERTIFIED BARRE TIME INSTRUCTOR.

Licensing & Memberships
In order to become a licensed and recognised Barre Time instructor, you will need to sign up for either a license or one of the membership packages.
All memberships are annual and include your licensing fees and all the perks that go with being licensed.
